In response to the new Covid 19 statistics, Koserca has strengthened its Pandemic Disease Control Program.

According to CDC guidelines KOSERCA has established the following to prepare for the effects of COVID-19:

  • Designate our safety coordinator as the Workplace coordinator, who will be responsible for COVID-19 Issues and their impact at the workplace.
  • Perform routine environmental cleaning. Routinely clean and disinfect all frequently touched surfaces, such as workstations, countertops, handrails, and doorknobs. Discourage sharing of tools and equipment, if feasible.
  • Promote etiquette for coughing and sneezing and handwashing.
  • Koserca has developed flexible policies for scheduling and telework (if feasible) and created leave policies to allow employees to stay home if they become sick, to care for sick family members or care for children if schools and childcare close.
  • Screening process verifying employees returning from Days off to perform work are fit for duty.

Additional Considerations

  • Employees should not share headsets or other objects that are near the mouth or nose.
  • Employers should increase the frequency of cleaning commonly touched surfaces.
  • Employees and employers should consider pilot testing the use of face masks to ensure they do not interfere with work assignments.
  • Employers should work with facility maintenance staff to increase air exchanges in rooms.
  • Employees should physically distance themselves when they take breaks together. Staggers break and don’t congregate in the break room, and don’t share food or utensils.
  • Koserca has created a business continuity plan establishing strategies to allow the continuation of work if many operations employees get ill. We have taken the time to identify and evaluate our critical processes, supply chains and other relationships with third parties. Part of this change has been that the documents and approvals related to our critical processes are being digitally with name conventions established by the company.
  • Koserca has encouraged employees to obtain the appropriate immunizations and stay home if they do not feel the company is providing a safe environment.
